Horse Road Safety Education & Awareness to Empower Drivers & Riders across Aotearoa New Zealand

Pass Wide & Slow NZ | PWASNZ is born from a need for positive education and awareness for everyone on our roads.

The international Pass Wide & Slow road safety message has been brought to Aotearoa New Zealand.

40 Deaths in 19 Years

We are united in our mission stop the senseless death and injuries on our roads. We have support across the community from NZ Police to NZ Pony Club.

PWASNZ is now a permanent educational road safety platform based on the Māori philosophy of kotahitanga | unity.

Our voice is stronger together!

PWASNZ will be full of factual material and information made to educate all road users.

Keep Checking Back reguarly for new information and content!

Our Stakeholders

Road Safety is a collaborative responsibility involving key organisations that all have a role to play in education, awareness and enforcement.

We have approached key stakeholders to support and share our message.

Thank you to those who have joined this life saving ride.

We are grateful to all our supporters, both in New Zealand and internationally.

Road safety is a community effort and we couldn’t do this without collective support!

Our Why - Visit our BLOG

Our stories matter and we will be sharing stories from our local and international communities to help decision makers understand how and why they must take horse rider and carriage driver safety seriously. We all deserve to be safe, we all have families, communities to return home to.

We encourage everyone to share our blogs to newsletters, websites and social pages and if inspired, write a blog and submit it to our team for publication.
